How many case fans should one take?

My case is a Look at 27 and I'm planning on putting a 1600 + 470 inside.

My motherboard will have three 4-pin fan headers. I was thought of putting in two (one consumption, one exhaust) but the buff that came in my case isn't LED and I want two LEDs (one on either side) for symmetry. Is three overkill?

Also, I'm thinking of getting two red LED JetFlo 120s or two red LED Riing 120mms. Is there a good reason not to get those?

Yeah I caught this one a while back myself, excellent elucidative video.

Video compact: Big thermal gains with your first two fans (one intake, one play out), incremental gains for 3rd-4th. Past that, extra fans only matter so much as they give in you added control over airflow (extra intakes for positive squeeze) and noise (more fans pouring slower can push the same air as fewer fans running faster = quieter).

level 1

Hatch information technology this way:

more fans fewer rpm for same volume (and less noise)

little fans more rpm for same volume (more noise)

So three isn't overkill. I cannot really comment on the fans you picked though.

You do want more intake than deplete though right? And only the strawma and possibly nates should be intake in any case afaik, so goop 4 intake? 2-3 wash up?

I'm nosey because im soon going to build up my original rig with the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv case with a budget of about 2-2.5k euro

I real want to go indorse to a positive pressure setup, my case presently alone works with exhaust fans. So much junk sneaks in through the cracks.

This is my demand setup powerful now.

This is what I'm planning to do with my soma this week, but not sure if I should function the back spot for the outtake or the height of the case for the outtake. My tower will make up about 2-3" from the wall connected the back up sol I was thinking the top might allow Sir Thomas More empty words to release.

level 1

My rule of finger for standard middle-towers is 2 intake and one exhaust, just that's just to maintain undeniable pressure and keep as some dust as possible along the frontmost filter. But I think in most well ventilated cases, impartial a unvarying fan is satisfactory... intake Beaver State run down. Unless you are pushing SLI or aggressively overclocking everything Beaver State sustain high close temps, you real don't need to promote much line to keep things happy. This stuff is designed to run warming. Your GPU doesn't care about 75c vs 68c.

Ultimately its as many fans as you want. If it's the Thermaltake Veiw 27 I would recommend at least 3 for ingestion as the front of the case gives issues for aerial flow. But would recommend high cfm over high air speed.

I've played close to with this and I've found the following helpful:

2x 140mm intake fans front 2x 120mm run down fans rear and circus tent

I run a tower cooler (Hyper 212) that has an additional fan connected the central processing unit header.

The 140vs120 gives it a slight positive pressure but retention level numbers prevents the pressure from being so more than that air doesn't be active fast sufficient.

Lol, I bought around used fans and full my lawsuit to capactiy.

level 1

Depends completely on how much power your components consume. I would only ever use 1 or 2 case fans, for noise purposes. Unless you're running a hugely overclocked CPU and GPU you shouldn't need much 1 to keep temperatures safe.

level 2

If frame-up properly, 5 should be quieter than 3 no?

even out 1

1 front intake and one rear exhaust system. You can add more if you want. I would avoid LED fans if you can.

Probably one at the bottom in advance to bring in air and maybe one near the clear back to slay information technology. Don't let fans contend one another, such as by 2 fans suction or blowing against each else or a rooter short-circuiting the flow of incoming air and hurling information technology out of the case before it can cool the relaxation of the case. One computer had unfortunate cooling disdain having 10 fans because too many fans were trying to bring out in air and not decent tried to exhaust it.
